The mountains of Hakone have many kinds of the tree. The geometry pattern which made in combination various kinds of wood is completed in "Hakoneyosegizaiku".

江戸時代後期に箱根山・畑宿で初めて作られた。箱根の山は、木材の種類が多い。この豊富な種類の木材を生かして、色合いの異なった木材を組み合わせることにより様々な幾何学紋様を表現した木工芸が箱根寄木細工である。
